Gap to Expand into Australia

The United States largest clothing chain, Gap Inc., announced on Wednesday that they will be expanding to Australia via a franchise agreement. Australia will be the 24th country that sells Gap clothing.

The first Gap store is to open in the Chadstone Mall in Melbourne in the Fall of 2010.

I wonder if that includes the other chains owned by that company. I love banana republic but gap is just eh usually.

Brand Republic Pty Ltd., a subsidiary of Busby Holdings Australia Pty Ltd., will hold the exclusive rights to operate Gap brand stores in Australia. So, I'm assuming Gap & BR will go over there but doubtful on Old Navy.
